Lyrics

Nameless Epiphany

I have been a money hungry capitalist, and my greed soon took it’s toll.
Dreamt of bein’ an idealistic communist, but it empties out your bowl.
Thought it’d be cool to be an anarchist, but not when chaos kills more than control.
Tried to be an isolationist, but my life was too lonely in a hole.
A little too lonely in a, little too lonely in a hole.

So here comes a sarcastic plea,
Isn’t there a stereotype for me?
Wadin’ in nomenclature up to my knees,
Waitin’ on a nameless epiphany.
Wadin’ in nomenclature up to my knees,
Waitin’ on a nameless epiphany.
Waitin’ on a nameless epiphany.

Felt the emptiness of the nihilist, nearly hollowed out my soul.
Seen them black and white lights of the Zen Buddhist,
but balance is just one role.
My two eyes have seen just a little bit more than they’d have liked to see,
and I’ve been stifled by my range.
Thought I’d love to be a realist,
But even that’s an abstract goal.
So what damn good is this philosophic list,
If it don’t leave me feelin’ whole?
It didn’t leave me feelin’, it didn’t leave me feelin’ whole.

So here comes a sarcastic plea,
Isn’t there a stereotype for me?
Wadin’ in nomenclature up to my knees,
Waitin’ on a nameless epiphany.
Wadin’ in nomenclature up to my knees,
Waitin’ on a nameless epiphany.
Waitin’ on a nameless epiphany.

So here comes a sarcastic plea,
Isn’t there a stereotype for me?
Wadin’ in nomenclature up to my knees,
Waitin’ on a nameless epiphany.
Waitin’ on a nameless epiphany.
Waitin’ on a nameless, waitin’ on a nameless epiphany.
